Laapataa Ladies still winning hearts – Vijay Varma calls it a ‘Firecracker’

The comedy-drama Laapataa Ladies continues to win hearts more than two months after its release. This film, marking Kiran Rao’s return to direction, has been widely acclaimed in the industry. The latest to praise the movie is Vijay Varma, who showered it with love and admiration.

Vijay shared his review and extended his best wishes to the cast and crew. He even called the film a “firecracker.”

Vijay took to Instagram to express his thoughts on Laapataa Ladies, which hit theaters in March and became available digitally last month. Posting a film poster on his Stories, he mentioned watching it the previous night. He wrote, “Late to the party... watched Laapataa Ladies last night... It's exceptional!”

He further elaborated, “Some films make you fall in love with cinema all over again and this one did more than that.” Congratulating director Kiran Rao, Vijay added, “Many congratulations to @raodyness and her gifted team for this firecracker of a film. It's so inspiring to see young actors blossom this way! A fresh new wave has emerged and it was so needed!”

Praising the lead cast, Vijay stated, “@nitanshigoelofficial @pratibha_ranta @ss_this_side @ravikishann sir you guys killed it.”

In another story, Vijay shared a behind-the-scenes video of Ravi Kishan from the film he wrote, “Bhaaaiisaab kya nazakat wala kaam @ravikishann.”

Laapataa Ladies is Kiran Rao’s second directorial venture, centering on two brides who get lost on a train. Presented by Jio Studios, the film is produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande. The cast includes Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Rantta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan in pivotal roles.
