Kunal Karan Kapoor: In television, TRP is an important factor but as an actor, it isn't my prerogative

Kunal Karan Kapoor, who is currently seen in Sab TV show Ziddi Dil - Maane Na, has been a name to reckon with in the industry and has to his credits, a series of much loved television shows. Popular for his role in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha among others, Kapoor has always stood out from the rest in his thought process, understanding of acting, and just about everything else in general.

The actor spoke to India Forums about the TRPs concerning him and if he relates to his character of Siddharth. About TRPs, he says, ''Honestly, in television, TRP is an important factor as the economics of an enterprise depend on it, but as an actor, it really isn’t my prerogative..my job is to do justice to the written word and my director’s vision.''

We also quizzed him about what he thinks about similarities between him and Sid, and he told us, ''I love playing play station games just as Sid. The most challenging aspect of Sid is his nonchalance and to make him relatable despite the fact that his character traits and nuances can be quite ridiculous.''

Kunal's performance as Siddharth in the show has been widely appreciated by all and social media is filled with praises for him along with the other actors on the show. Recently, he also clocked in 17 years in the industry and told us how he is grateful for all the love that he continues to garner.
