Kratika goes unconscious after shoot in a tunnel

Jhansi Ki Rani, Kratika Sengar was recently shooting a scene inside a tunnel when she got breathless and fell unconscious..

It's not easy playing Jhansi Ki Rani … ask Kratika Sengar who recently shot for an elaborate underground sequence in a tunnel filled with water.

Kratika, being a sport, did not use a dupe and smilingly bore the brunt of the intense heat and suffocation inside the tunnel till she fell unconscious. We hear that the set doctor were summoned to the sets immediately and Kratika was taken to a nearby clinic where she was put under complete bed-rest for a day.

Kratika, who is fine now, said, "I have been shooting non stop for 14-16 hours a day for the past few months and this has taken a toll on my health. Shooting inside a tunnel involves intricate lighting and we had to shoot several re-takes for the perfect shot. I was feeling a little giddy but did not take it to be an ominous sign and continued with the shoot. Playing the character of the legendary Laxmibai is very inspiring and it gives me the strength to push my own limits everyday."

The Rani of Jhansi was a historical heroine known for her valor and in essaying this role, Kratika proved herself to be a superwoman in today's world. Minutes after coming back from the clinic she got into her costume and went for the shoot which involved crossing a lake.

Keep up the good work, Kratika!
