Konkona and Bhumi's upcoming project helmed by director Alankrita

The Wake up Sid actress Konkona Sensharma and Bhumi Pednekar are reported to make an appearance together. According to the reports from After Hrs the film was helmed by the ace director Ashwini Iyer Tiwary and will be produced by Ekta Kapoor. However, the recent advancement in reports suggests that the film will be directed by Alankrita Shrivastava.      

A closed source revealed, "Konkona Sensharma has been signed on for the other female lead's part. The character needed to be essayed by a powerful actor, and when the think tank at the production house was discussing whom they should pitch the film to, they felt Koko (as Konkona is fondly called) would suit the part really well." 

An insider mentioned that the unlike Alankrita's last film Lipstick Under My Burkha, the upcoming film is also about two rebellious women with a desi flavor.

The source also added, "Alankrita also wanted Konkona in the film, given that they have already worked together in Lipstick Under My Burkha last year. She has signed on the dotted line. In fact, both Bhumi and Konkona shot for the picture announcing the film earlier this week itself."
