The news of 'Hip Hip Hurray' coming back with a revamped version got all the fans excited and now they cannot wait to see the show. 'Hip Hip Hurray' was a teen drama show launched back in 1998 which focused on the lives of 12th graders in school.
The show was a massive hit breaking many stereotypes and developed a cult following with years passing by. Vikas Gupta (Lostboy Productions) who is a self-proclaimed huge fan of the show is revamping the show with new cast.
Just few days ago, the new cast of the show was introduced which included Anshuman Malhotra, Shweta Bajpai, Rohan Shah and Krissann Barretto.
We contacted actress Kishwer Merchantt, who played Nonie in the original version and had a talk with her about her views about the revamped version.

An excited Kishwer said, "I am looking forward to it since the day it was announced. The show was extremely instrumental in not only shaping our careers but also becoming the cult it has. I am very happy and excited to see this version in today's world."
She added, "I am sure they would have casted us (herself and previous cast members) if they had a choice (laughs). But of course, all of us are old too play collegites now. The show is close to my heart and there cannot be a better person but Vikas to make this show. I went out on a dinner once with him, where he would tell me all the dialogues and scenes that even I couldn't remember. A true fan like him can do justice to the show."
On being asked about the new cast members, she said, "The kids are brilliant actors and the best part is that they already have a massive fan following making it an added plus point. I have worked with Krissann, she is great, however she will have to brush up on Hindi for her role. Rohan and Anshuman are great friends and I cannot doubt their acting skills. I will surely be watching at least the initial episodes."
We also contacted Rohan, who plays Rohan on the show. Playing a socially awkward introvert who is confused about his sexual orientation, he said, "The show is set on the lives of 12th graders like the initial concept and will have a very urban backdrop."

The fans just can't be more excited with days getting closer to the launch..!
