Kinshuk Vaidya on turning host: To foray into crime drama sounded challenging and different

The Q, India’s fastest growing Hindi General Entertainment channel launches its first original crime fiction show ‘Jurm Ka Chehra’ for television. The show is set to premiere on Saturday, September 4th, and will air every Saturday and Sunday. Hosted by renowned actor Kinshuk Vaidya, the show is based on modern age crime stories plaguing our society. Crime has increased and changed its face with the changing times. 

It’s not just murders and robbery, that can scare the daylight out of people but also other unethical and rampant crimes like cybercrimes, online fraud amongst others. With an aim to create awareness, the show will bring to its viewers ‘Naye Zamaane Ki Nayi Crime Stories’, inspired by modern age crimes.  

Kinshuk Vaidya who rose to fame with his massive popularity as a child actor in the early 2000s on being the host of the show shared, "My journey as an actor has been more of a chocolate boy-next-door character, and to foray into crime drama sounded challenging and different. Jurm Ka Chehra on THE Q is the total opposite of any character that the audience has seen me portraying. It's the first time that I am hosting a show and that too a crime show, so to have that subtle beard, mustache, and to perform with a certain level of seriousness and sternness was exciting as an actor.   You wouldn't believe the social or contemporary crimes that take place these days. Be it net banking crimes, cybercrimes, or murder, nothing is unbelievable these days. Jurm Ka Chehra will highlight such contemporary crimes and this is what sets the show apart.  I am glad THE Q gave me this opportunity and I got to explore newer territories.  Hope the audiences accept me in this role and become more vigilant by watching our show."
