Khushi Kapoor opens up about quick bonding with co-stars Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda & others

Zoya Akhtar's upcoming film, "The Archies," has been generating immense anticipation as it gears up for its December premiere. The movie boasts a star-studded cast, featuring the debut performances of Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor, alongside Aditi 'Dot' Saigal, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda. 

In a recent interview, Khushi Kapoor, who plays the character Betty in the film, discussed the similarities between her and her on-screen persona, shedding light on her camaraderie with her co-stars.

During the India Today Mumbai Conclave 2023, Khushi was asked if she shares the traits of a 'goody two-shoes like her character Betty. In response, she shared that she thinks they were cast because there were so many of their own traits that their characters had. There's a lot about Betty that she sees in herself as well, and she thinks she found that out the more she played Betty. She said, "I think she is very sweet and empathetic but is also sensitive sometimes. And she is really caring, but sometimes she can tend to put other people's needs ahead of hers. So, I think I kind of identified with certain parts of her a lot the more I played her."

Regarding her bond with her co-stars, Khushi mentioned that it didn't take much time for the ensemble to become a close-knit group. They spent their days preparing for the film together, which naturally brought them closer. Khushi explained, "We were forced to spend so much time together, and just going through the same experience made us bond so much. I think especially doing acting workshops together made us open up and be vulnerable with each other. I think towards the end of the shoot we were just kind of moving in a small herd everywhere together."

"The Archies" is a coming-of-age musical that explores the lives of iconic characters from the Archie comics, including Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel, and Dilton.
