Ketki Dave is NOT a part of the second season of 'Mahisagar'!

The actress confirms she will not be a part of the second season of the show..

One of the popular and long-running shows on Big Magic, 'Mahisagar' is set to roll out a second season after the success of its first one where it completed over four hundred episodes!

There were talks of veteran actress Sarita Joshi was intended to play the role of the character of Anusuya's elder saas (mother-in-law. However, things couldn't materialise and she will not be a part of the show. She

That character still hangs in the balance, where actress Pranoti Pradhan (currently seen in 'Vicky aur Vetal') is signed to play the character of Anusuya, initially portrayed by actress Vandana Pathak.

However, where there were talks of actress Ketki Dave playing the elder saas, she has discarded all the rumors and said, "No, I haven't been approached for the show. I am already doing a show ('Tamanna') right now and cannot manage doing another one. I guess these are just rumours floating around, as JD (Jamnadas Majethia) is a friend."

The first season had actress Dharti Bhatt playing the female lead and actor Sandit Tiwari playing the male lead who was later replaced by Anuj Thakur.

When we called Sandit to confirm the news, he said, "Nothing is confirmed as of yet. I haven't signed the contract. I have been approached but I hope things finalise in a day or two. I will update you once I get the confirmation."

The shooting is set to go on floors very soon!
