It was just on Monday that a Mumbai Mirror report brought in the news of actress Katrina Kaif collaborating with director Vikas Bahl for his next film titled Deadly. As per the reports, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina were approached to play father-daughter in the said slice of life film, themed around a funeral.
The report stated: “Vikas and Katrina have discussed the central character of the father with Amitabh Bachchan, who has shown a keen interest in doing the film. However, he is yet to sign on the dotted line”
Soon after the news broke online, Katrina was reminded of sexual harassment charges against the Super 30 director by a Huffington Post's India journalist.
Vikas Bahl made headlines when his name popped up in the wake of the #MeToo movement. He was accused of assaulting Phantom Film's female employee, however, his name is clear from all such allegations.
When the journalist got in touch with Katrina to confirm the news of this collaboration for the film Deadly, the actress rubbished all such rumours and called it untrue.
In a similar incident, earlier there were reports that Deepika Padukone was approached for Luv Ranjan’s next alongside Ranbir Kapoor, however, the actress reportedly turned down the film owing to the #MeToo allegations against the filmmaker.
