Karni Sena asks Prasoon Joshi & Smriti Irani to resign

Unhappy with the green signal given to the film, "Padmavati" by the censor board Karni Sena asks Prasoon Joshi and Smriti Irani to resign from their post.

One knows the ongoing controversies of "Padmavati" which seems to never end at all. The more the fans are waiting and hoping the film to get a release date... the more it is dragged into the controversies to ban the film.

Earlier Karni Sena and then CBFC, the mixture from both the ends and confusion between the two parties delayed the film. Even after few cuts and change in the title from "Padmavati" to "Padmavat" the Karni Sena seems is still unhappy with if the film gets a green signal for the release.

Yesterday, at the press conference in Jaipur Karni Sena leader Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi stated that "Protest against Padmavati will continue across India and during the demonstration, we will burn the effigies of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chief Prasoon Joshi. We also demand his resignation."

Gogamedi added, "Rathore should resign as he was born in the land from where Queen Padmavati belonged and urged him to stand with them in the ongoing protests against the movie."

However, we still hope they get some peace and let the film release and then raise the questions. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead role.
