Kareena Kapoor's OTT debut promo brims of hilarious name suggestions from 'Poo-key Blinders' to Kal We Met'

Kareena Kapoor has offered a glimpse into her forthcoming OTT debut with a hilarious video that assures a departure from her iconic roles. Collaborating with Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma, Kareena joins the cast of Sujoy Ghosh's adaptation of the Japanese novel "The Devotion of Suspect X." This venture marks her entry into the digital entertainment realm, promising a fresh portrayal and a distinctive narrative. 

The video unfolds with Kareena in her living room, engaged in listening to project pitches. The initial proposition revolves around a spin-off of her famous character Poo from "Kabhi Khushie Kabhi Gham." Poo metamorphoses into a policewoman, concealing her firearm ingeniously in her heels. In her signature Poo tone, Kareena quips, "Tumhara koi haq nahi banta ki tum itni guilty lago". However, the concept doesn't resonate with her.

Following that, two individuals propose a sci-fi thriller titled "Kal We Met," envisioning Geet's romance transpiring not on a train, but within a time machine that bridges her with her future self. Despite the imaginative premise, Kareena remains unimpressed and dismisses the idea. The video continues with a playful series of absurd pitches, ranging from "Poo-key Blinders" to "Phal We Met" and "Jab We Pet."

Amid the barrage of ideas revolving around her iconic characters, Kareena's frustration mounts. She yearns for a concept that breaks the mold, offering originality, intrigue, and excitement. Eventually, her patience bears fruit as she receives a proposition that aligns with her desires – a thriller entwined with romance, unfolding against a mysterious backdrop, casting Kareena in an entirely unprecedented avatar.

Sharing the sneak peek on her Instagram, Kareena playfully captions, "It's a secret I can't wait to tell," accompanied by a playful wink emoji.

Reports have circulated suggesting the film's title as "Jaane Jaan," slated for a Netflix release in September. Within the narrative, Kareena reportedly embodies a divorced, single mother embroiled in concealing the murder of her estranged spouse amidst a police investigation, all while navigating her relationship with her neighbor. The highly anticipated trailer is set to grace screens on September 5.
