Karan gets back to business

Karan Kundra, who became a household name with Kitani Mohabbat Hai, is now taking a hiatus from acting and is concentrating on his family business.

Even as fans are waiting eagerly for Karan Kundra to be back with another television show, as Kitani Mohabbat Hai on NDTV Imagine has ended, the actor is in no hurry to take up offers. Instead he now wants to take some burden off his father's shoulders in running their family business.

According to our source, "Karan Kundra is busy in Punjab handling his business construction and call center."

When we contacted Karan, he confirms the news saying, "Yes, since I started shooting for Kitani… I hardly had time to look after my business. My dad had to come down from US to handle everything. Now I'm back in Punjab and am planning to take a break from acting for a while and look after my business."

When we questioned if at all Karan would return to TV, he says, "Many offers are coming my way but I've not decided yet. Now I need to do something challenging and interesting after Kitani… so waiting for the right kind of work to come my way."

Karan of course has still not moved on completely from the Imagine show. He says, "I am missing Kitani… a lot. Each and every day that I spent on the sets is memorable to me. All my unit members, my cameraman, make- up man, the whole cast… all have gone their different ways, but I am constantly in touch with all of them."

Karan celebrated his birthday yesterday which co-incidentally also happens to be the birthday of Amitabh Bachchan and Ronit Roy. "Yes, I do feel lucky to share my birthday with the Big B of Bollywood as well as the Baadshah of TV. It sort of means I am also on the right track", he signs off with a chuckle.
