Karan Aujla, known for hit tracks like "Tauba Tauba," "White Brown Black," "Admiring You," and "Winning Speech," initially began his career as a songwriter and faced his share of challenges before rising to fame in the music industry but today he captivates audiences with his music. However, during a live performance in London, an unfortunate incident occurred when a fan threw a shoe at him. Karan responded, emphasising that such actions are not reflective of our culture.
A few weeks back, a video of Karan Aujla expressing his frustration towards a fan at his London concert spread widely. The footage captured a moment where a member of the audience hurled a shoe at him while he was performing live. In a recent conversation with NDTV, the singer of "Tauba Tauba" addressed this regrettable occurrence. He emphasized his firm belief in respecting his fans, acknowledging that they are the foundation of his success and where he stands today.
Nevertheless, the act of throwing unusual objects on stage is "not in our culture" and is not how we demonstrate appreciation. "All I ask for is respect; not just for me, but for every artist who gets on that stage," Karan conveyed to the publication. Reflecting on the incident, the White Brown Black singer recounted that he was fully engaged in his performance when this unexpected event occurred.
Adding his perspective on the issue, he further expressed that as artists, they pour their hearts and souls into each performance, aiming to create lasting memories for the audience. It's not just about him but about every artist receiving the fundamental respect they deserve while on stage. Despite a few individuals engaging in such actions, the majority of his supporters express their admiration in a positive manner, for which he is appreciative. "They sing along, they dance, they enjoy the music - that's what matters," Karan concluded.
Karan Aujla made waves with his track Tauba Tauba featured in the Bollywood flick Bad Newz. This comedy film from 2024 stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk in pivotal roles.
