Kanika Kapoor’s problems do not seem to end, as an inquiry has been set up against her. She reportedly hid her travel history from the travel authorities in Lucknow and also partied with a whopping number before she diagnosed with Coronavirus. The singer landed in Mumbai from the UK on March 9 and returned to Lucknow two days later. She tested positive on March 20.

Kanika Kapoor has been charged under IPC Section 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and Section 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) of the IPC.

Deepak Kumar Singh, ACP, Krishna Nagar said that the singer will have to come to the police station and give her a written statement. Further action will be taken after this.

Yesterday, Kanika took to Instagram to express her gratitude to the health workers who treated her. She also wrote that several stories were doing the rounds and she was fully aware and knew that some information has been misrepresented.

Kanika was discharged from the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) hospital in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh after she was under quarantine for three weeks.
