In recent developments, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its investigation into the Mahadev online betting scandal, and it has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. Notably, several high-profile celebrities, including Ranbir Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, have come under scrutiny for their involvement with the controversial betting platform.
These stars are being probed for either promoting the app or participating in events organized by its promoters.
However, amidst this whirlwind of investigations, Kangana Ranaut, known for her candidness, has shed light on her own experience with the Mahadev app's promoters. In a candid revelation on her Instagram Stories, she shared her encounters with the platform's endorsement offers, which she declined multiple times despite lucrative financial incentives.
Kangana shared, "This endorsement came to me almost six times over a span of one year," Kangana disclosed, referring to the persistent efforts by Mahadev app promoters to secure her endorsement. Every time they added several crores to the offer to buy me, but I said no each time."
The Manikarnika actress further stated, "Look, integrity is not just for your conscience anymore. Yeh naya Bharat hai, sudhar jao nahi toh sudhar diye jaoge" (This is the new India, improve or you will be forced to improve).
The ED's investigation into the Mahadev online betting app case has cast a spotlight on the entertainment industry's involvement with such platforms. Earlier this month, actor Ranbir Kapoor received a summons from the ED to appear at their office in Raipur in connection with the Mahadev app case. The actor, who had allegedly carried out promotional activities for the app, requested one week's time to respond to the summons.
