Kangana remark on Pathaan

A day after saying that "love forever trumps hate" in response to Pathaan's record-breaking box office performance, actor Kangana Ranaut appeared to respond to Karan Johar's statement. After declaring on Wednesday that "films like Pathaan should surely work," Kangana flipped her stance on Friday, criticizing the movie for portraying the "enemy nation Pakistan in a favorable manner."

The film Pathaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, was criticised and called for to be boycotted in recent weeks, particularly because of the song Besharam Rang, in which Deepika could be seen wearing an orange swimming costume.

Kangana, who recently joined Twitter again after having her 2020 ban removed, responded to individuals who "say Pathaan is a triumph of love over hate" in a series of tweets.

Kangana Ranaut tweeted, "All those who are claiming Pathaan is triumph of love over hate, I agree, but whose love over whose hate? Let’s be precise, whose is buying tickets and making it a success? Yes it is India’s love and inclusiveness where 80 percent Hindus live and yet a film called Pathan, which shows our enemy nation Pakistan and ISIS in good light is running successfully. It is this spirit of India beyond hate and judgements that makes it mahan (great)…".

She further wrote, "It is the love of India that has triumphed hate and petty politics of enemies. Lekin (but) all those who are having high hopes please note… Pathaan sirf ek film ho sakti hai… goonjega toh yahan sirf Jai Shri Ram… Jai Shri Ram (Pathaan is only a film, the country will only hear cries of Jai Shri Ram)."

Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is breaking box office records. The action movie was released on January 25, the day before Republic Day 2023, and it made 106 crore in worldwide box office revenue. In addition to Shah Rukh, Deepika, and John, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana also appear in the movie.

I may not agree with everything this lady says. But I admire her for calling out the Hindi Film Industry and standing up to the rot.

The Indian population deserves better. If people are getting their panties tied up in knots because of her - tough luck! She likely said the truth, and they can't handle it reverting to making disgusting comments (which no one cares about) reflecting on their own personality.

She needs to be locked up in a mental hospital.

So she bought the tickets to watch the movie and give this very intellectual and not-at-all-jealous-hatemongerig review? She helped this movie make money and hence is an anti-India person by her own very sane and not-rabid-at-all standards?
