"Kaala Teeka was my chance to break out of my chances to get typecast." - Bhupinder

Seen playing an astrologer on Zee TV's recently launched show 'Kaala Teeka', Bhupinder Singh seems to be playing his part quite well as Vishaweer Jha, the head of the family.

With the crux of the story revolving around a father's quest to keep his only daughter, Gauri (Adaa Narang) safe and protected, the audiences are delighted watching the man essaying a strong headed decision maker on the show.

Tellybuzz, in a candid conversation with the actor speaks about his stint in the show and his contentment playing Vishaweer.

Shedding some light on the reason why he chose to be a part of the show, Bhupinder said, "Firstly, because my character is ambitious and strong. This show is a complete contrast of what I have done earlier. I have always played senior character roles and by playing a lead, this was my chance to break out of my chances to get typecast. This role is not only a challenge but also a responsibility that I have to justify."

Hoping the show will perform better in future, the actor mentioned, "I am hopeful the show will do well since people have been very encouraging during script reading and there is an energy of expectancy."
