Just In: 'Sarojini' to go off-air!

However, after a pretty successful run and audiences loving the fresh pairing of Mohit and Shiny, the sudden exit of Mohit Sehgal some months ago came across as a major shock.

In a stroke to sustain the popularity, the makers roped in another popular face, Aamir Ali to replace Mohit.

However, it seems that hasn't helped the ratings in any manner of sorts. As, in a hasty and sudden decision, the show is all set to go off-air.

Yes! That is saddening! The show will be telecasting its last episode on the 30th April 2016.

We contacted Shiny, who confirmed, "Yes, I am sad that the show is going off-air and will be telecasting its last episode on the 30th April."

On being asked that what led to this hasty decision, she said, "I, myself have no idea where did this decision come from. They brought in Aamir as they wanted to run the show for at least 6 months more. However, I don't know what went wrong that has urged them to take this decision."

We asked her what is going to be her favourite memory from the show, to which she said, "'Sarojini' has been like a second home to me. I have at times shot for 30 days a month, so this has been like home to me and I have enjoyed every bit of it. The cast and crew, even the technicians are like my family and I am going to miss all of them the most. The show has been really special and I will cherish it forever."

On being asked about her future projects, she said, "Well, currently, I haven't really thought it through, but if good work comes along, I will definitely take it up. And if I have to wait for it, I will be having a small holiday (laughs)."
