The judges of all four seasons of Indian Idol come together on one platform as they compose a song for the viewers and contestants of the show. This song has been specially composed for the Grand Finale which is to take place on March 1st.
"The channel came to us and said that they wanted to do something different for the Finale. We came up with the idea of a song which expresses the journey of contestants in a sweet and simple manner", says Annu Malek who happens to be the longest-serving judge in Indian Idol.
Talking about the lyrics of the song he adds, "Javed Saab came up with fantastic lines. Alisha, Udit Narayan, Kailash and I will be lending our voices to it. The music is also very clubby and has been made keeping in mind the likes of today's youth".
But why is it that Sonu Niigam is not in the elite list of singers? "We had asked him, but there was some date problem; hence he could not be the part of the album. We all will really miss him though".
"I wanted to add the spirit to the song so that it is remembered forever. The song is unique as it focuses on the journey of the Indian Idol contestants, their struggle, their emotions and many other aspects", he adds.
When requested to sing few lines Annu chirps, "I don't want to disclose the song as of now, but all I can say is that there is a particular line 'We wanna wanna live our dreams…'".
Lastly, when asked who amongst the three finalists has a big chance of winning, Annu stated, "There are bright chances of a girl winning the title for the first time ever in Idol. Having said this, I must say that Kapil has a huge fan following".
Indian Idol 4 is all geared up for the Finale. So who will win this time - Sourabhee, Torsha or Kapil?
The countdown to the 1st March Finale begins now…
