As the holy month of Ramzan comes to an end, Telly Actors gear up to celebrate their month long fast. This Eid, artists of the small screen, make sure they take out some time to celebrate with friends and family. The Telly Buzz team talks to Rakshanda Khan, Ali Asgar, Shagufta Ali, Faisal Raza Khan and Khayyaan Saab, who speak their heart out about the auspicious day.

Your plans for Eid this year: I have a small get together at my place this year. I’ve called a few friends of mine along with the entire team of Rakhi. We aren’t doing anything big as such, but just a casual get-together where we’ll all just be ourselves. It’s good to have some time off and get back to your roots; seriously we should have more Eids in a year.

A message to everyone on this festive occasion: The month of Ramzan is very auspicious, and we need to go out of our way to be good, and we need to make sure that we carry forward the same practice rest of the time. I know its easier said than done, but then again, you to start off by little steps at least.

Your plans for Eid this year: Same as every year, I take half a day off. Go over to my relatives’ place, which I go every year, and then have a small fest with my family, and then resume back to work. So this year too, I will be shooting on Eid, and also enjoy my half day off.

A message to everyone on this festive occasion: I would like to wish everyone a very happy and prosperous Eid. I urge everyone to carry forward the resolutions that they have kept during the month of Ramzan. Everyone behaves the best during the holy month, but what matters is how are for the rest of the eleven months. Wishing everyone a very happy Eid and a prosperous life ahead, God Bless!

Plan for Eid this year: My first and biggest plan is to enjoy a holiday. Once I get a day's off, the day will be dedicated to family and my home. I will visit all my relatives, who I rarely visit because of my tight schedule.

Family tradition on Eid : Wake up early and offer Namaz. This is a day when I get to eat my favorite dishes, my mom is a great cook and I love her food. Then we go to our grand mom's place for afternoon lunch. I get to eat biryani, my grand mom is an even more better cook than my mom. So Eid is a day when I feed on only calorie-rich food. On this day, we get 'Eiddies' from elders, even though we are all independent today, it is a nice feeling to get it from elders on this day.

Your message to fans on Eid : Well, go ahead and have a blast, enjoy with your family. The most important thing to do is to remember the reasons for which you have followed the fasting for one month.

Any special preparations for Eid: Yes, I have shopped and shopped, and bought many dresses. I am looking forward for a great day on Eid. I will be going with my mom to Chandigarh, will celebrate Eid there. So this Eid is going to be different for me, away from Mumbai life.

Family Tradition on Eid: We usually wake up early, offer Namaz. We make all the best dishes on this day. We will have one big feast. The most popular dish we make on that day is 'Sheer Kurma'. So I am going to enjoy to the core..

Your plans to celebrate Eid : See Eid is celebrated the same way every year by everyone. You meet everyone, hug them, offer hand of friendship, share food, and spend time with them all. But this celebration has lot of meaning behind it. Before we get to celebrate this day, for one full month we follow Ramzan. During this period we learn to follow and learn self discipline. We also learn to follow the path of truth, morality and humanity. Spiritual power is also gained. We learn the lesson of brotherhood and sharing. When on the day of Eid we hug and meet others we try to give them all that we learned during this past one month of Ramzan. We try to now follow this very path of truth even with our enemies and make sure to share and show compassion to the poor needy ones. Thats how I make sure to celebrate Eid.

Like our stars, we too wish that we all continue to remain rooted to our culture and religion, like we were in the holy month on Ramzan. The Telly Buzz team would like to wish everyone a very happy Eid.
