Star Plus’ Jhanak has been struggling with low TRP ratings for quite some time. Due to its poor performance, the show has reportedly received a notice from the channel. In response, the makers have decided to take a generation leap, leading to the exit of the current cast, including Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja.
As previously reported, Shoaib Ibrahim has been approached to play the lead role post-leap. A close source shared that Shoaib has already done a look test, and if everything falls into place, he will be finalized as the new male lead.
The latest update suggests that the makers have also approached Pranali Rathod to play the female lead. Pranali gained immense popularity for her role as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where her on-screen chemistry with Harshad Chopda was widely loved. She was last seen in Colors TV’s Durga, which is produced by the same team behind Jhanak.
Earlier, India Forums exclusively reported about the show’s leap and the exit of the current cast. Krushal Ahuja has now confirmed his departure, stating that it was a mutual decision between him and the production house.
The show features Hiba Nawab as Jhanak, Krushal Ahuja as Aniruddha, and Chandni Sharma as Arshi. With Kunal Verma’s recent entry as Vihaan, the storyline has introduced new conflicts and unexpected twists, keeping viewers engaged. As Jhanak moves into its next phase, fans can look forward to fresh characters and evolving storylines, making way for an exciting new chapter.
Fans eagerly await more updates on Pranali’s potential role in Jhanak. With fresh faces and a brand-new storyline, the show is set to take an exciting turn. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming leap!
