Jersey to stream on Netflix from May 20, 2022

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Jersey is produced by Dil Raju, S Naga Vamsi and Aman Gill. The movie traces the journey of an ex-cricketer struggling to make ends meet, wants to fulfill his child's wish of getting a Jersey but in the process comes face to face with his heroic past and is forced to decide if he will rise to the occasion and become a symbol of hope or continue to live a life as a loser?

A heartwarming story starring Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and Pankaj Kapoor that will make you embrace your dreams, hopes, and family, Jersey will be streaming on Netflix from 20th May 2022. 

Though the movie did not do very well at the box office, Shahid and Mrunal were both applauded for their performances in the movie.

Meanwhile, Mrunal had spoken about the film's numbers, and told a leading news portal, ''It is disappointing. Apart from performances, there are a number of other factors that make a film work, like positioning, marketing, etc. We spared no efforts. Maybe it's a phase. Maybe there're so many external reasons. I have no clue what is happening. But obviously, you feel a little bummed, and a little low, that maybe it could've done better because it's a good film. Honestly, I was a little low. We will work harder for the next film."

Jersey released in theatres on April 21, 2022, after multiple delays due to the pandemic.
