Jaswir Kaur and Ashiesh Roy at a Book Launch!

Last night copywriter Savita Nair's second book of poems titled "Tell Me Your Real Story" was launched by Leadstart Publishing and Fratelli Vineyards at a hot and happening lounge bar in Mahalaxmi called Auriga, and the launch was a runaway success amidst a spirited question and answer session following a wonderful reading session by celebrities Ashiesh Roy, Jaswir Kaur and the author Savita. Wine flowed freely throughout the evening, and all copies of the book were sold out within minutes of the counter being opened.

Tell Me Your Real Story is a collection of heartfelt poems that are as much about angst and heartbreak as they are about celebration and romance, as much about disbelief and scepticism, as they are about sarcasm and fun. So if you are up for this mad, crazy ride that celebrates all that is urban and chic, all that is cynical and syrupy... get on to the poetry bandwagon and take a ride! One thing is for sure, you will discover a little about yourself and the poet, through this poetic journey.

The evening began with popular tele-actress Jaswir Kaur unveiling the book of poems for the audience, following which actor Ashiesh Roy simply brought the house down with his impromptu wit and style, as he read out the first poem of the evening "Be Unafraid." He was mad, he was irreverent as he drew smiles and applause from the audience over the poem. A tough act to follow, but the audience were game as more poems were read out. The mood was mellow, the wine delightful, and the audience had a blast getting their books signed by the author Savita, who happily obliged everyone.
