Jasmin Bhasin reacts to Apoorva Mukhija's comments on her in 'The Traitors': 'I do not expect any decency..'

During her stint on the reality show The Traitors, actress Jasmin Bhasin was the subject of several remarks made by fellow contestant Apoorva Mukhija. Many of these were shown in video diaries and during key moments in the game. In an exclusive interview with India Forums, Jasmin shared her reaction after watching the footage.

"I saw the show as a show, as an artist, I will do multiple shows and I cannot take people personally. Her opinion was completely based on what was happening in the show and I think she is much younger than me. So I would not like to take anything anyway personally because I do not expect any kind of maturity, sensibility, decency of words from her because that is her personality, she owns it. You know she wears it like a crown on her head and all the best to her for that."

She continued, reflecting on the bigger picture and how she views Apoorva’s behavior:

"I think with time when she, you know in future she might realise that all the positives of her personality because she is a very smart girl, she is intelligent, she is outspoken, she is confident, everything because there are few flaws which I feel are flaws, she may not feel they are flaws, the kind of vocabulary she uses, the way she talks to people, the way she responds, some bad things cover up the good things which may lead to bad things. So maybe with time she will realise, she will have her own journey, she is a child growing up. So I look at her from that perspective and I do not take anything too hard."

The Traitors India, which streamed on Amazon Prime Video, was an adaptation of the international format where contestants are secretly divided into Innocents and Traitors. The goal for Innocents is to identify and vote out the Traitors, while Traitors attempt to eliminate the Innocents without being caught.

The show premiered on June 12, 2025, and concluded on July 3, 2025. The final phase featured seven contestants: Uorfi Javed, Nikita Luther, Jasmin Bhasin, Apoorva Mukhija, Sudhanshu Pandey, Purav Jha, and Harsh Gujral. In the end, Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther were declared joint winners after they successfully identified Harsh Gujral as the last remaining Traitor. They shared a prize of ?70.5 lakh, with Uorfi offering her share to Nikita.

The show featured 20 well known personalities, including Karan Kundrra, Raj Kundra, Maheep Kapoor, Raftaar, Jannat Zubair, Mukesh Chhabra, and Ashish Vidyarthi, among others. Set in the Suryagarh Palace in Rajasthan, the series blended strategy, psychological gameplay, and social deduction over 10 episodes.
