This Women’s Day, actor Abhishek Malik says that the portrayal of women characters on screen has changed drastically. He adds that they are shown to be stronger now.

“Over the years, there has definitely been progress in how women are portrayed on television. Today, we see more strong, independent, and multifaceted female characters who are not just confined to traditional roles. Storytelling has the power to shape perceptions, and it is important that TV continues to evolve, showcasing women as leaders, decision-makers. Each of these women showcases strength in different ways—whether through leadership, resilience, or unwavering principles,” he says.

As for the inspiring women in his life, he says, “My mom and sister inspire me the most. My mom has always been my biggest support, teaching me strength and kindness. My sister is independent and fearless, and I admire how she handles everything with confidence.”
