Colors’ show ‘Udaariyaan’ is getting quite interesting with each passing episode. The current track of the show revolves around Fateh and Tejo moving out of the Virk house while Tejo has started to get flashes of her past memories with Fateh.

India Forums got in touch with Priyanka and asked her about her preparations to play the mentally unstable Tejo, the actress said, “Well, generally, I’m an actress who doesn’t really like to prepare for my character a lot. I believe in performing on the spot, according to situations and the briefs given by the Director. However, for this character, I did a little homework. I watched a few films to take inspiration as I wanted to do justice to the character and the responsibility given to me. I watched projects like Sadma, Khilona, Ranjha Ranjha Kar Gai Mai along with a few Pakistani dramas to have an idea about such characters”.

Talking about the feedback on the performance, Priyanka added, “Everybody loved my performance, right from my crew to my fans. Everyone has been giving heartwarming responses which has left me satisfied and elated”.

It was definitely challenging as an actress to get into the skin of a mentally unstable Tejo. I wanted the body language to not be over the top and I worked hard to keep it as real as possible. I’m afraid if the same characteristic would affect me when Tejo gets mentally sound in the show (laughs).

When asked about her first reaction on the track, Priyanka said, “I remember Bharti ma’am promising me an out-of-the-box character while we were shooting in London. I kept asking her for details but she denied telling me anything more. Just before a couple of days of the shoot, she informed me about the mentally unstable character and I was really thrilled as well nervous to do the same”.

Bluekohl 2 months ago Honestly while generally Ud is a shit show this track and specially Priyanka's performance has been just one of the best things and a treat to watch. She says she did the homework and it is visible... her character has been so stable and constant from the beginning but baby Tejo, she's just marvellous. All the scenes whether it is being completely innocent for the ones where she remembers her traumatic past. .. They're soo well done.
