Ishita Ganguly-Sreejita De to feature in an upcoming thriller titled Rescue

Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gatha fame Ishita Ganguly and Nazar fame Sreejita De are all set to entertain the audience in their upcoming thriller movie Rescue. The talented actresses will be seen playing leads in the film produced by RGTS Pictures and directed by Nayan Pachori. The story revolves around three young women Honey, Ayesha and Meera who happen to trap their house broker Jatin in their rented apartment. As the story unfolds, the girls assault him and torture him eventually leading to rape. Rescue can be called as an outrageous thriller which focuses on issues like freedom of choice, sexuality and the hypocrisy of society. Interestingly, it is inspired by a true incident that happened in India recently.

We contacted Ishita regarding her character in the film and she shared, “It’s an interesting thriller film based on a true incident happened in Nagpur recently. Our film is inspired by the incident, though we have modified some bits of the story. Our society is a reflection of hypocrisy where boys are free to go wherever they want, wearing clothes of their choices, but girls are always judged for their choices. In the film, all the three girls are psychopaths and are trying to prove a point that if girls are given a chance they can prove to be equally dangerous.”

Further speaking about her character Ishita said, “I have played the character of Meera in the film who is an extreme psychopath. She is a surprise element and as they say, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, my character is full of suspense and is the leader of the gang. We shot for the movie one year ago and our director Nayan Pachori is actually the youngest Director, as he was 20 while we were shooting. It was an amazing experience shooting for it.”
