Is Vikrant Massey’s Retirement at 37 Just a PR Stunt? Harshvardhan Rane Weighs In

Actor Vikrant Massey recently surprised fans by announcing his retirement at the age of 37. The timing of the announcement, just before the release of his upcoming film Zero Se Restart, has led to various speculations. Among those commenting is his Haseen Dillruba co-star Harshvardhan Rane, who wonders if the move is a publicity stunt.

In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Harshvardhan shared his thoughts on Vikrant’s decision. He said, "He is a man with a clear and centered thought process. I respect his work ethic and look up to his acting process on Haseen Dillruba’s shoot. Hope he gets back to making films like Aamir Khan sir also did after making a similar announcement. These are great artists, and our country needs their presence in our cinema. I’m praying this is just some PR activity forced on him by some filmmaker.”

For those unfamiliar, Vikrant and Harshvardhan worked together in Netflix’s Haseen Dillruba, also starring Taapsee Pannu. While the first part of the movie was highly appreciated, the sequel, featuring Jimmy Shergill, had mixed reactions from viewers.

Earlier today, Vikrant shared a heartfelt note on Instagram announcing his decision. He wrote, “Hello, The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor. So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time.”

On the professional front, Vikrant is set to appear in Zero Se Restart and other films like Yaar Jigri and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. Meanwhile, Harshvardhan is preparing for Sanam Teri Kasam 2, which has fans eagerly waiting.
