Is this a ticket to Bollywood for Sumedha?

After Indian Idol runner up - Karunya Acharya got his first break into Bollywood in Vinod Chopra's Lage Raho Munna Bhai, it is the turn of the SaReGaMaPa contestant - Sumedha Karmaha. This tinsel town girl from Chattisgarh was first part of Eklavaya Gharana of Ismail Darbar but in the second round she became part of Bappi Da's Josh Gharana.

Sumedha hit it off with her top notch performance in the Ismail Darbar's special episode and secured a place in the Finals. Not only did she manage to secure a special place in the hearts of the mentors and mahagurus of the show, but also lady luck followed and showered her with her first break into Bollywood.

The Master Craftsman of Films - Mahesh Bhatt was bowled over by Sumedha's powerful voice and has offered to take her into his forthcoming project. We spoke to the man himself and found out what was truly going on in his mind, “I applauded her talent, expressed my desire to choose her in my forthcoming Project "Jannat" as a singing talent, based on the depth that she has in her voice.. It is now a matter of time when the song will be composed and when she will get to sing it.”
