Is Shahid Kapoor not willing to work with Katrina Kaif?

After Padmavati, Shahid Kapoor has bagged a romantic - comedy film called, "Batti Gul Meter Chalu". The film will be directed by Shree Narayan Singh.

Reportedly, Katrina Kaif is said to be the female lead opposite Shahid Kapoor. As it is a rom-com the duo is said to be romancing on-screen. But, the catch is does Shahid Kapoor wants to work with another 'A' list heroine after Deepika Padukone?

According to a source, "Shahid Kapoor is not willing to work with Katrina Kaif. He doesn't have any issue with the actress but, apparently, he feels that Kaif being a part of the film will steal the focus from him."

If talking about Shahid's current controversial film, "Padmavati", many reports suggested that the actor is not happy with the trailer of the film. As more amount of importance and buzz is created only around the lead actress Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh who plays the antagonist (Allaudin Khilji) in the film.

"Due to this reason, apparently, Shahid wants a fresh face or a non-'A' lister opposite him," adds the source.

However, talking about the film, it is a story of a common man's fight against power distribution companies over the huge amount of bills generated. Shahid reportedly plays the role of a lawyer, who fights the injustice.
