While the leading lady remains officially unannounced, the latest reports hint that South sensation Sreeleela is in advanced discussions to join the project.

According to India Today, Sreeleela, who recently gained nationwide fame with her performance in the chartbuster "Kissik" from Pushpa 2: The Rule, is in "advanced stages of discussion with Karan Johar," with conversations reportedly progressing positively. If finalized, this will mark her debut in the Hindi film industry.

A source close to the development shared, "She has an amazing screen presence, and pairing Kartik with Sreeleela will bring a refreshing new duo to Bollywood. However, talks are still on, and if everything falls in place, it should be finalized within the next few days. It will be exciting to see both of them together."

The report further states that the actress is simultaneously in talks with other major production houses, signaling her eagerness to make a powerful entry into Bollywood. However, both Dharma Productions and Sreeleela have remained tight-lipped about the details.

Directed by Sameer Vidwans of Satyaprem Ki Katha fame, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is being produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora under Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures. Filming is expected to commence by mid-2025, with a theatrical release slated for 2026.

The buzz around the project only intensified with reports from Zoom revealing that Kartik Aaryan is being paid a whopping ₹50 crore for the film, following the massive success of Chandu Champion and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
