Irrfan Khan's Spokesperson Reveals the Reason he has been Rushed to the ICU: Everyone's Prayers will Bring Him Back

As reported a few minutes back, Irrfan Khan who has been battling Neuro Endocrine Tumour since 2018, was rushed to the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai and was immediately taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital for urgent treatment.

Earlier, it wasn't confirm as to why the Angrezi Medium actor was suddenly rushed to the hospital. But now, his spokesperson has confirmed and revealed what has happened with him.

When contacted, Irrfan's spokesperson said that he had to be admitted to the hospital because he contracted a colon infection and that they would keep his fans and well-wishers updated as soon as they are in a position to reveal any further details.

Yes it is true that Irrfan Khan is admitted to the ICU at Kokilaben in Mumbai because of a colon infection. We would keep everyone updated. He is under doctor’s observation. His strength and courage have helped him battle and fight so far and we are sure with his tremendous willpower and prayers of all his well wishers, he will recover soon.

Earlier this week, Irrfan recently lost his mother Saeeda Begum. While his mother’s last rites took place in Jaipur the Piku star attended the funeral through a video call given the nationwide lockdown imposed to combat COVID 19 outbreak in India. It was reported that Irrfan also missed the funeral owing to his ill health and wasn’t able to travel outside Mumbai.

Talking about Irrfan's professional front, the actor was last seen in Angrezi Medium which also starred Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Dimple Kapadia, Deepak Dobriyal, Ranvir Shorey and Kiku Sharda. Owing to his health issues, the actor was not able to promote the film but still made sure to give a few interviews. The film's producer Dinesh Vijan extended him his complete support and was with him in every decision.

Irrfan had also made it clear about his plans ahead with a very polite message on social media, by saying that, "Owing to some unwanted guests (cancer) in his body, he wouldn't be able to participate in the promotions of Angrezi Medium as he had to leave the country for treatment."
