Channel V's Gumrah puts light on juvenile crime stories. This unique concept has surely found an audience in the Indian television scenario. After three successful episodes, the production has another story to share with the audience. The episode is rightly titled as- 'Internet can kill'.
A source states, "The story is entirely different than the rape and murder case. Sana Amin Sheikh, popularly known for her stint in the movie Singham, along with Megha Israni and Karan Chhabra of Superstud fame would feature in this week's episode."
"The episode is all about cyber crime and about how youngsters use the internet casually without understanding its harm. There would be two stories going on simultaneously. While one would deal with updating your personal status on a social networking site, the other one would be about video chatting with strangers," adds the source.
We contacted Sana Amin Sheikh and she says, "It was a nice experience shooting for an episode which conveys such an important message to youngsters."
All are efforts to reach Karan Kundra, the host of the show, were in vain!
Vikas Gupta, Co-producer of the show confirms, "This is a real life case, wherein I knew the girl personally. It was just shocking to know what happened to her in real. When Karan and I went to meet her in jail we could feel her pain and guilt, but she could do nothing except tell her story."
