This International Men’s Day, actor Mohit Malhotra says that it feels nice to be celebrated as a man. He adds that Women’s Day has always been big, and it’s good that Men’s Day is recognised as well.

“I feel it is good to celebrate every gender. Whether it's a man or a woman, both of them play a crucial role in our lives. Earlier, things were different, but today, people are changing and it's for good. Particularly by celebrating Men's Day, we make men feel valued and trust me it feels better when you know that you are being valued by your loved ones,” he says.

He adds, “Women's Day is quite hyped. But today people are more towards the 'no gender day' where they celebrate all the genders and show respect for every human being.”

Talking about why men don’t express themselves as much as women, he says, “I agree that women express themselves better than men. Men have been facing societal pressure for years and it has made it difficult for them to express themselves. Men are expected to be strong even in the worst situations. I believe that is not fair. People should understand that men are humans too and they too have emotions which need to be expressed.”

Since ages we have been hearing that men don't cry. Talking about this perception, he says, “Men do cry but only in front of the people who judge them less. I think we all need people who are less judgemental and accept us. The world would be a better place for all of us if people could stop judging and start accepting each other.”
