"In terms of hard work and perseverance, I don't think Indians even have any competition." - Indiana Mehta

We asked Mehta, who belongs to India and while the film is all about dance, having experienced the dance scene in India too, we asked her as to what does it take for an aspiring Indian dancer to make it big on the international circuit

It has barely been over a day since the much-talked-about Netflix movie, Work It went live on the streaming giant. And ever since then, there has been an instant buzz about the same. With good critical reviews so far and love from viewers, the film is already indeed something to be looked forward to. As our ardent readers would remember, we had actor and dancer, Indiana Mehta talking about the film, and how she cracked her audition process.

We also notified about how Mehta belongs to India and while the film is all about dance, having experienced the dance scene in India too, we asked her as to what does it take for an aspiring Indian dancer to make it big on the international circuit. To this, she answered, "Anyone out there who is willing to make it big in the international dance scene. Honestly, I feel Indian dancers are not just amazing but absolutely fabulous who can not just survive on the international circuit but in fact, make a name for themselves. People keep telling how it is 99% hard work and that 1% being luck and good contacts, it is that 1 percent that will be the only thing that makes a difference here. Otherwise, in terms of hard work and perseverance, I don't think Indians even have any competition."

That should indeed inspire one and all. Riding on the success and response of Work It, we asked her about her future projects (in a post-COVID world). She concluded, "Finally, when it comes to me and my future projects. The current COVID-19 situation as we know doesn't really allow anyone or anything to do much but when it comes to future acting projects, I am currently reading a lot of things and waiting for things to get better for things to roll. When it comes to dancing, I keep training and learning new forms all the time. I can pull off a hip-hop routine but I am not good at popping, so everyday I want to learn and get better with as many dance forms as I can to always have an edge."
