In conversation with Anuja Sathe...

Based on the life story of the greatest and one of the undefeated warrior - Bajirao, Sony Entertainment Television's magnum opus historical show Peshwa Bajirao is all set to entertain the viewers with its riveting concept. The talented actress Anuja Sathe, who is known for her intense acting skills, will be seen essaying the role of Radha Bai, the mother of Bajirao in the show. 

On the same, we got in touch with the actress to know more about her first historical show, her challenges, working with her co-actors and much more.

 

I was always keen to do a historical show and when it came my way, there was no looking back. Above all, the character of Radhabai is very strong and challenging and something that I wanted to do, hence, when the concept of the show was narrated to me, I instantly said a yes to play the character of Radhabai.

 

Well honestly, challenges are a part of an actors life. I believe that a true actor is the one who overcomes the challenges by giving its best shot in each performance. Hence, I am following the same mantra while portraying the character of Radhabai, hope I do justice and the viewers like my performance in the show.

 

Yes, one of the sequences demanded me to do horse riding, I could have used a body double or expert to do that sequence but since I was very keen, I wanted to do the sequence by myself. Basically, the horse got aggressive and I could not control my balance and fell off the horse. Though injured, I wanted to complete the task and so after several tries, the horse became my friend, which led to the best outcome of the sequence through the director's lenses.

 

Manish is a fabulous actor and I am overwhelmed to be sharing a screen space along with him. Over the period of time, we actors on set have developed a bond which makes work easier for us. On the other hand, Rudra Soni, though being so young, he is a perfectionist when it comes to dialogue delivery and acting skills. Giving such a performance at this age is commendable, he has a long way to go in this industry.
