Imlie actor Gashmeer Mahajani: I have started enjoying the craft of acting, take my work more seriously

Gashmeer Mahajani, currently seen in Imlie, has managed to make a name for himself with all the work he has done. The actor continues to garner a lot of love for his role as Aditya in the show, and his films as well. Gashmeer, believes that he has started to take his work more seriously over the last year and a half.

Talking about the same, and his journey, he told India Forums, ''I feel the journey has just begun. This is a very cliched answer, but I generally feel that till now, I wasn't taking my craft that seriously. This is my 6th year into acting, now that I look back, I got many awards for the films I did, but I never took my work that seriously. Since the last two films, and this show that I am doing and the web show that I did, it has been a year and a half that I have started taking my work seriously as an actor. I have started thinking about trying to outdo myself, thinking about making my shorts better from what I did the previous day.''

I have become more serious and I look forward to the next day. I call for my scenes the previous day, I go through them, and I started to get a kick out of it, I just enjoy the whole process of working on the script, improvising on it, and go to the sets next day where I have complete authority over knowing what I am going to do.

He added, ''Earlier, I just used to go to the sets, complain about various things (smiles), among other things, or even read the scripts just 5 minutes before and do it, which ended up looking good, but I feel now, I take it more seriously. I have started enjoying the craft of acting or making a movie, I have become more serious and I look forward to the next day. I call for my scenes the previous day, I go through them, and I started to get a kick out of it, I just enjoy the whole process of working on the script, improvising on it, and go to the sets next day where I have complete authority over knowing what I am going to do. In that sense, I feel the journey has just begun.''

Meanwhile, the actor is also gearing up for his next film, Sarsenapati Hambirrao.
