I’m not leaving the show: Hitesh Bharadwaj on recent promo of ‘Udaariyaan’
Hitesh Bharadwaj aka Ekam of ‘Udaariyaan’ talks about the recent promo of the show, his character and more.
Colors’ show ‘Udaariyaan’ is getting the love of the audiences. The current track of the show revolves around Nehmat deciding to give up on her life in Moga and settle elsewhere. She wants to move out of Harleen, Ekam and Nehmat’s life and has secretly left the house. Harleen has found out about it and wants to inform Ekam before Nehmat leaves the town.
Meanwhile, Ekam gets a call from his senior about an important mission at the Moga railway station. Ekam reaches the railway station for the mission. Recently, the makers released a promo of the show which was loosely inspired by the iconic scene of the Bollywood movie ‘Daraar’.
In the movie, Arbaaz Khan’s character gets stuck at the railway tracks while Juhi Chawla tries to rescue him. He finally succumbs to a train accident. Similarly, in ‘Udaariyaan’ Ekam will be stuck amidst the railway tracks. He will push Nehmat as the train approaches so that she can be saved.
India Forums got in touch with Hitesh to know about the similarity between the two scenes, he said, “Honestly, I’m not aware of the same. I haven’t watched the movie and don’t know about the resemblance nor did I receive any such feedback from my fans. People have loved the promo as it’s quite intriguing and thrilling.”
Talking about his love for thrilling elements in a character and a show, Hitesh added, “Well, our show is more of a rom-com but I’ve noticed that there’s a tinge of thrill in the show as well. The thrilling factor also drives the fans to stay hooked on the show. My character is that of a police officer and that adds to the thrilling element. It’s exciting portraying Ekam.”

It's not romcom. It's a crime patrol show. Stupid couple and story. Isha deserved better.
