Bharat Chawda, made a mark in the minds of the audience by playing the cute and innocent mentally challenged Chotu and now with the bad boy image of Ishan Nanda. Speaking to Telly Buzz, Bharat talks about his future plans and much more...

What is the thing you like the most about your character Chotu/ Ishan Nanda.
Chotu and Ishan are like the two opposite sides of a coin. While Chotu was sweet, innocent and cute, Ishan, on the other hand is rough and tough and very aggressive. I like the energy and aggressiveness that Ishan’s character exudes.

According to the present track, Ishan is getting jealous seeing Gauri and Ashu, does that mean we are going to see Ishan's character getting a complete makeover i.e. becoming positive?
(Firmly) Yes, (but later says), Yeah kind of positive. Well may be positive to a certain extent (laughs).

If not an actor, you would have been…
Well I haven’t thought over it ever, (laughs) I always wanted to be an actor but before I got in acting, I was a dance teacher.

If given the opportunity which character would you like to portray in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, apart from Ishan Nanda?

The audience ‘loves to hate you’. How does it feel?
It feels good. I started my career with Kaahani Ghar Ghar Ki and got a lot of sympathy for Chotu’s character. Now I play the negative character of Ishan and I am really happy with this image as people know me for what I am doing.

If offered a reality dance show would you take it up?
Yeah, of course, I am waiting for that opportunity!! I’ll probably take up a show like Jhalak or Nach Baliye…oh no, I know what you are going to ask me now, (laughs) before you do so, I would take up Jhalak.
