While the actor is all set to co-produce Zee TV's much awaited show Lajwanti with his sister Ila Bedi, we got candid with him to know more about his plans to return to acting, filming movies and of course, co-producing Lajwanti!
Having been away from the film industry from a long time, Rajat said, "I was not too happy with the way my film career was progressing. I got a wonderful business opportunity and hence choose to pursue my financial dreams. I have shifted to Canada and I reside in Vancouver, but it was not a planned decision it just happened. My financial aspirations took me to Canada."
Speaking about co-producing Lajwanti, Rajat shared his excitement and nervousness regarding this project.
He averred, "It is exciting to know there is lot of curiosity and excitement in the TV circuit. I too am very nervous as this is my first experience as a producer and I have been nurturing this production for the past nine months and on September 28, 2015 finally I will see my baby whom I have cared for and given my heart and soul will be showcased worldwide. This is the first time that I have got an opportunity to work with my brother and sister, so this show means the world for me."
Rajat also mentioned of having bagged a south film opposite super-star, Darshan. The film is titled Jaggu Dada which will release early next year. To add on, the man has been co-producing films under the banner Dalmora Entertainment in Canada.
Lastly we could not help asking Rajat about his experience working with his sister Ila Bedi!
Rajat stated, "It is extremely difficult working with my sister as it is a home production and the expectations are very high. Ila is a perfectionist so meeting her expectations on the story she is writing is very challenging but eventually the product is beautiful, she has put her heart and soul into it and she always wants to maintain a high standard of quality over quantity, so yes, it is very scary working with her, but at the same time it is very heart warming and emotional as I have my family working under the same roof."
