Tunisha Sharma's death has brought mental health issues back to the forefront because as a society, we are failing to promote mental health on a larger scale. Many actors have already opened up about the picture behind this glamourous world which led you to depression. One more actress in the list is Riya Bhattacharje.

The actress is a popular name in the entertainment world and is currently seen playing the role of Amaira Randhawa in the Colors’ show ‘Dharam Patnii’. Riya reacts to Tunisha's death and reveals that she can relate to mental health issues as she has been through it.

Sharing her thoughts about Tunisha's death, Riya says, "This is literally a big tragedy. I am feeling bad for her family, especially her mother. People commit suicide but they don't think about their parents whose soul becomes dead, seeing their child gone away. Earlier, also Tunisha spoke about going through depression I wish that this wouldn't have happened with such a young girl who had a whole life ahead of her. My condolences are with her family."

Speaking about mental health and how she relates to it, Riya says, "I can understand how mental health affects our thoughts because I have been through it. There was a phase when I slipped into depression due to 'not getting good work, especially of my choice.' There had been months that I have been just low, as work wasn’t panning out the way I had imagined. Being in this profession, we have a lot of expectations from our career and, unfortunately, the results are not in our hands."

Lastly, Riya says, "Everybody goes through this dull phase. It’s tough because there are a lot of negative thoughts that cross our minds and some people can't win this battle. Luckily, I had the support of my family and friends. Everyone is nowadays so afraid to speak their hearts out about mental health because they fear to be judged. You have to train yourself to make your mettle stronger."

Professionally, Riya is popularly known for her performance in the Star Plus show, Kabhi Kabhi iitefaq sey. Apart from this, Riya was also seen in the shows 'Ishq Mein Marjawan 2', 'Nath' and 'Agni Vayu'.
