Pretty and talented actress Jyoti Sharma, who was last seen on Star Plus' popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum, is all set to shine on the big screen with her upcoming flick 'Love Exchange.'
Jyoti is embarking her debut in Bollywood with this movie and is quite exultant about it. In a conversation with TellyBuzz, she talks about her movie, her experience shooting for the film, her future plans and much more. Read on to know more...
Tell us something about the movie?
The story of the movie revolves around a guy and a girl who fall in love with each other. They belong to different communities. Their parents plan to separate them because they were against intercultural marriage. Later on, their parents ask them to exchange their families for few months. So what kind of trouble both of them will get to face and how they tackle every situation, is the story going to be all about. The movie is very realistic which also conveys a very nice message that one should take any decision taking their parents into consideration no matter how much differences of thoughts you have with them.
How did the movie happen to you?
I met Mr. Raj Shetty and our producer Mr. Nadia Ali. I met them through my manager. I was totally against doing movies as I was happy doing television. My manager forced me to meet them and when I met them, I found them very positive. they convinced me that they are making a very clean movie and then they narrated the story to me and I said a 'Yes' to them.
Its your debut to the silver screen; How's the feeling?
Its amazing! It was a very nice feeling to see ourselves on the big screen during the trailer launch of the movie. We are new to this industry with no family background in this industry. We are excited as well as nervous too and hoping to get good response from the audience for the movie also like we have received from the trailers.
How has been your experience shooting for the movie?
The shooting experience was amazing. Its an achievement for us that we completed the shoot in just 24 days. Everything was well planned and happened without any chaos. Our director Raj sir was like a teacher and a guardian for us. We had a family like environment on the set where used to have fun as well as do our work too. Everybody was very positive there that we all were feeling nice working there and in fact we were sad on the day we completed our shoot.
How its been playing a Punjabi kudi?
Its fun to play a Punjabi kudi on-screen and altogether its been a different experience. I didn't have to put in much effort to get myself evolved into the character because it was similar to me in real.
What are your future plans; Bollywood or Television?
It all depends! I want to concentrate on movies as of now but I won't have any issues doing television too. I have tried my hands in television and now I want to try my hands in movies also but if I will get a nice character to play in television then I won't mind doing it.
Message for your viewers?
Please support me; this is the turning point of my career. I am thankful
that you all have always supported me in all the shows that I have done and I
hope the same in future too. I love you all.
