Popular actor Sahil Salathia, who was last seen in Ashutosh Gowarikar's popular series 'Everest', (Star Plus) which was his debut show and lead him rise to fame, now holds high aspirations in life.
In a candid chat with TellyBuzz, Sahil shares more about his early days, his aspirations and much more. Read on to know more about Sahil and his future plans...
How has the industry treated you so far?
Very well! I have been welcomed by the industry with open arms and I feel truly blessed.
How did you get into acting?
It just happened! The casting director of 'Everest' Nalini Rathnam, had seen one of my television commercials and called me for 'Everest' to play the lead role Arjun on the show and then a series of look tests happened. I honestly never planned it and since then I haven't looked back. I enjoy every minute of being in front of the camera but I am just very picky of the kind of work I want to do. I only want to do excellent work and not just anything in the name of acting. I want to be taken very seriously as an artist and I am working towards it by the grace of God.
Would you like to share something from your struggling days that has made you even stronger?
I find it extremely disrespectful when people associate the work struggle with actors only. I think anybody and everybody who is alive is struggling with something or the other, which could be professional or personal. I have never struggled in the business, people have been very kind, but I am struggling in my personal life. I want to meditate and be spiritually inclined.
What kind of roles you are looking forward to play? Any roles you regret playing?
I am looking forward to play something that shall leave a massive impact on my viewers like how Arjun's character did. I want to do meaningful work. Everest was my acting debut and after that I have done an International English short film, where I play a protagonist again and the character is extremely close to my heart as well. In life, I think and then move ahead so no regrets ever!
What are your aspirations?
I aspire to make my family really proud, I aspire to be a
happier person, I aspire to spread love and I aspire to do very meaningful and
supremely entertaining work always.
