I want my journey to be a mixture of everything: Mahima Makwana

Young and talented girl Mahima Makwana, has been roped in for essaying the protagonist on &TV new show 'Adhuri Kahani Hamari'. The popular girl has come a long way and is happily living her dreams as of now.

As she is all set for a new beginning with her new show, we had a candid conversation with Mahima about her show, her journey so far and much more. Read on to know more ...

Tell us a bit about your new show...

I have been getting many offers for shows ever since, 'Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke'. I got to do 'Dil Ki Baatein' and now this one. The show is about a love story of two people with the backdrop of reincarnation. Its not a regular love story that Indian audience is tired of watching. Its an interesting blend of mythology in a love story which shows how their past affects their present.

You have come a long way. How has your journey been?  

It's been a roller coaster ride for me and I want it to be the same. I don't want my journey to be only full of success, but I want it to be a mixture of everything because I feel that when bad things happen to you, you learn something from it. This journey has been a beautiful one for me and I hope that it continues to be the same way, with new things falling my way.

You have achieved so much at such an early age. Please comment.

I constantly keep reminding myself that I don't have to lose my innocence and purity which I have got. Sometimes, people pretend and fake. I don't want to be like them. I want to be different, which I am and I don't want to change my behavior. I don't want to let myself get carried away and want to focus on my work, than anything else because it's my work that has got me here and not my age, beauty or anything else. I want to be dedicated and hard working like I am.  

What keeps you going? What has been the motivational factor in your life?

It's my dedication towards my work and my Mom who is always there to encourage and motivate me. It's because of her that I am, what I am today. I would say that its because of my Mom and her hard work and dedication towards me that has got me here. I also believe that when you think positive, positive things start happening to you.

Are you comfortable romancing on-screen?

Of course I am comfortable romancing on-screen. At times I do feel nervous and awkward because of my age, but then I remind myself that it's my job and I have to do it.

Celebs get to face so many rumors and controversies about them. What's your take on it?

There have been rumors spread about me as well, but I made sure that it didn't affect my work. I want the audience to love me the way they do. I think that if you are doing good, then people will surely envy you. So you don't need to bother about them and just focus on your work.

What are your expectations from your show?

I have no expectations! I would just want the audience to watch and enjoy the show, which I am sure that they will.
