"I waited for 3 months for Shenazji to come to Mumbai " - Ekta Kapoor

Producer Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms upcoming daily soap Ye Hain Mohabattein which will air on Star Plus, has a quirky and comedy character in the show named Mrs. Bhalla which will be played by Shenaz Rizwan who makes her debut in the television industry through this show. Shenaz Rizwan will play the mother of the main lead Karan Patel in the show.

The producer Ekta Kapoor who saw Shenaz's videos on the internet was highly impressed with her acting skills and wanted Shenaz Rizwan only to play the character of Mrs. Bhalla.

When we saw the act done by the actress Shenaz Rizwan during the press conference of the show, we too agreed with Ekta Kapoor that she is a very talented actress. Being a Muslim she enacts the character of a Punjabi very efficiently and her acting skills are absolutely fantastic.

Appreciating Shenaz Rizwan for her acting skills Ekta says, "Out of all the characters in the show Ye Hain Mohabattein my favorite is Mrs. Bhallaji. I waited for 3 months for Shenazji to come to Mumbai and be a part of my show."

Ekta Kapoor had seen Shenaz's video on You-Tube, "I had seen Shenazji's videos on you-tube and I wanted her only to play the character of Mrs. Bhalla. She stays in London so we had to wait for 3 months until her visa was accepted and she could come to Mumbai."

Shenaz is the perfect choice, says Ekta, "I wanted someone who could naturally enact like a Punjabi with proper diction and I really loved her as Mrs. Bhalla."

Well, it is surely a very big compliment for Shenaz Rizwan in her very first stint on television itself. Way to go Shenaz and we wish you all the very best for this show.
