"I think it is an actor's dream come true to portray Ranaji." - Siddhant Karnick

The extremely handsome and hot Siddhant Karnick currently seen as Ranaji in Zee TV's Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani has mesmerized the audience with his sizzling looks and well-toned body. While his character currently gears up for his marriage with Gayatri, Siddhant talks about his experience shooting with talented co-stars and the preparations for the wedding sequence.

I think it is an actor's dream come true to portray Ranaji. The character has a lot of substance where he plays an ideal man, a lover and more than that, I get to horse ride and drive lavish cars! It is very rare that men get to don different masks and I am blessed to have this opportunity where I play a character which is battling through his emotional turmoil, has different dynamics with his mother, has a love angle and there are assassinations and conspiracies too! There is so much to perform and I love it!

This is the third time I am shooting for a wedding sequence in the fiction space. It is a good break as there is not much to do in the scenes but I find it boring also as I do not like dressing up!

Anita Mam' is a sweet heart and I love non-vegetarian food so she keeps getting lunch for me. The sheer consideration shows how much she cares. With regards to Drashti, she is grounded in nature. Infact, we did not even know each other well before she invited me to her sangeet ceremony. She is the kind of person who would point out where her co-actor goes wrong and helps to improvise it. 

Not at all. I come from a theater background and hence I do not face any hiccups. 

Television is very different from theater though. TV is all about technique and I feel Drashti is a master of technique. 

What are your future plans?

I guess I will work for another 10 to 12 years and then settle down in the mountains and ride my motor cycle all around the world, since I love travelling.

I have no clue about this; even my mother keeps asking me the same thing. The advantage of being an actor is that we get to live the phase of marriage even when single. So the entire charm of how we will dress like a prince or princess once in a lifetime is already fulfilled. So I am in no hurry. But whenever I will get married, the celebration would not be so grand. I would like it to be with my close friends and family.
