What do you like more- acting or anchoring?
I love both but prefer acting over anchoring. Anchoring is a linear process whereas in acting I can improvise.  In acting one can portray various shades of a character which is not possible in anchoring.

The viewers have accepted you very well in Mohnish Behl's place. Please comment.
Initially when I had stepped into Mohnish Behl's shoes, I received hate messages. Indeed I had a lot of haters.  Usually viewers find it difficult to accept a new face. However it is because of the entire team's hard work that the viewers have accepted me. I thank my fans for this too.

Do you think Dr.Ashutosh gets insecure if he sees his wife being friendly with someone of the opposite gender in her same age group?
Age isn't the factor here. It is common human nature to feel insecure if someone's wife is getting friendly with someone of the opposite gender.  This kind of jealousy isn't something out of the world.  He feels that Dr.Nidhi is encouraging the new patient Amar who is flirting with her. He is upset that Dr.Nidhi is purposely trying to make him jealous.

What about Dr.Ashutosh do you like and dislike?
I like the fact that Dr.Ashutosh loves his wife and family and is a thorough professional. He is however impatient and needs to inculcate that quality.

What would you have done about Dr.Mallika if you were in Dr.Ashutosh's place?
Dr.Ashutosh has been Dr.Mallika's friend for 20 years. Anyone will have a soft corner for a long term friend. So the way Dr.Ashutosh handled the Dr.Mallika situation was okay. Dr.Nidhi simply misunderstood him.

Is Dr.Mallika pregnant with Dr.Ashutosh's child by any chance?
(Laughs) No.

Have you watched foreign hospital dramas like ER and Chicago Hope. How would you compare them to Kuch Toh Log Kahenge?
Not really. I have seen a glimpse of Scrubs though. Scrubs is more of a hospital drama than delving into the personal lives of the characters. In Kuch Toh Log Kahenge we concentrate on the personal lives of the characters where the hospital is just a backdrop.

What about the Indian TV industry would you like to change?
The Indian TV industry needs to be more organized. There should be no erratic schedules. We need to have a good bank of episodes.

Which historical character would you like to play?
Shivaji, as he was highly intelligent, a great warrior and is an icon in Maharashtra.

What are your hobbies?
Cricket, watching TV, listening to music and spending quality time with friends.
