I received a lot of female adulation after SKTKS, says Kartik Aaryan

Now that the actor has received so much adulation Kartik Aaryan has also gained much more followers after the film. In short, the actor is enjoying the phase of a star and stardom currently. Kartik said, "After PKP and now even more with Sonu Ke, I received a lot of female adulation. I don't think a normal romantic film would have had the same effect. I loved playing Sonu. He has these shades of grey, is manipulative, but needs to be likeable as well. Sonu is as commercial as it gets."

Although the film is a huge success and many people love it, some found it to be sexist. When the actor was asked about it, he said, "I don't think so. Most films have men playing the villain, what does it say about men at large? We don't have a problem with that. Why do we get uncomfortable with women playing a negative character? I think we should give more credit to our audience. They are smart, they will not get swayed so early."

Meanwhile, Kartik had recently walked the ramp with actress Kareena Kapoor Khan at designer Manish Malhotra's show in Singapore. While many felt that the duo might make a good and fresh pair for a film...when asked if he wishes to work with Kareena, he said, "Of course... Why not?"

"Our show became a big hit, which is a good thing to have. I was really glad that I was walking the ramp for Manish Malhotra for the first time, so it was a great experience for me and walking with the stunning Kareena Kapoor has been a memorable experience for me. Let's see hopefully in future, we will work together," added the actor.
