The immensely talented Manish Goplani, who has won the hearts of the audience with his debut show Thapki...Pyaar Ki on Colors, speaks to us about his growth essaying the character of Bihaan and the kind of roles that he is inclined to project on-screen.
In a tete-a-tete with Tellybuzz, we got to know more about the actor's personal interests...
How content are you with your role in Thapki?
Sometimes, I feel there is no difference between me and my character Bihaan. My character's interests and behavioural traits are quite alike, as I too cannot see my loved one crying. Also I am very obedient just like my character.
How do you see the character that you are currently essaying, as a growth in your career?
Bihaan has a lot of potential. When my character was introduced, he was a goon who threatened people holding a gun in his hand. But the story has progressed to showcasing the same goon as an adorable and understanding boy. Each phase of his story has unfolded another shade of Bihaan and fortunately, I am doing justice to my role.
What kind of roles excite you?
To be frank, I love performing action sequences. I would really like to play an all-rounder character, which is a combination of a chocolate boy and an angry young man. Just like my current character - Bihaan.
Thapki being your debut show how do you find this show as a platform for growth in this industry?
Of course, this show is a very big opportunity for me. Colors is one of the leading entertainment channels on television and making my debut with a show which offered me a challenging role was like a cherry on the cake. I think this is the best platform, I could ever have!
Can you tell us what kind of competition did you face while bagging this show?
I am blessed that destiny chose a trouble free route for me in this journey. I was cast from Jaipur and I came to Mumbai. The audience and this city have accepted me with open arms and I hope they continue to do so.
Stay blessed, Manish!
