While Shrishty has believed in bringing back the prominent faces back on the screen, audience too surely loves her way who are quite excited about Rajeev Khandelwal's comeback that too in a conventional role.
In conversation with us, Srishty talks about the show Reporters, comeback of Rajeev
Talking about the efforts taken to make the show Shrishty says, "We did a lot of research. In fact, we had a news consultant on board who used to formally work in a news channel. We have done lot of procedural work from there like we have tried to keep it contemporary but little generic in the beginning."
Do you think that the prime slot of 9 PM is competitive? "Unless you are a number one show all slots are competitive. I think there is a complete different audience who will watch Diya Aur Baati Hum and the one's who will watch our show. There is a far wider audience who watch saas bahu show. My competition is not with them. I just want to be the best in what I am doing," says Shrishty.
On bringing back the prominent faces on screen, she says, "Rajeev Khandelwal and earlier Sangeeta Ghosh, are the only established actors I have worked with. In Jee Le Zara, we wanted some one who looks older than the guy and in this show, I thought Rajeev completely fits the bill who plays Kabir. Apart from his looks, he has a good command over acting."
Sharing her views on themes being explored on television Shrishty says, "I think its great, after covering drama you need some freshness. I think producers are exploring themes because somewhere they can connect with that world."
Well, that's true Shrishty!
